Car Show
Annual Dancin’ and Cruisin’ Classic Car Show
New Location – Apple Valley American Legion 1776
Where: Apple Valley American Legion 1776
14521 Granada Dr, Apple Valley, MN 55124
Time: 5-9 p.m.
Cars should arrive between 4-5 p.m.
No cars will be registered until 4 p.m.
Awards will be presented at 8:30 p.m.
Car Entry Fee: $20
Proceeds go toward our fundraising efforts.
Includes T-shirt, dash plaque, and first 150 vehicles receive a “goodie bag.” Awards will be presented.
Music at The Legion at 8 p.m. Update coming soon!
Food is served in the back parking lot by the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary.

Kiddie Parade
Celebrate the 250th anniversary of America’s independence! Children 12 years or under are invited to bring their bikes, trikes, scooters, strollers, wagons, and other ride-on toys! After walking the parade path, participants may park their “ride” in the corral and enjoy Family Fun Night at Johnny Cake Park East! Participating children will receive a goodie bag.
Kids are encouraged to cover their rides with fun Fourth of July colors and decorations!
Notes: Helmets are required for children on bikes and scooters. Please bring a bike lock and secure your own equipment.
Time: Check-in: 4:30 p.m. | Start: 5 p.m.
Where: Scott Highlands Middle School Parking Lot

Fun Run:
Time: 8 a.m.
Where: New Location: Johnny Cake Ridge Park West, 14225 Johnny Cake Ridge Road, Activity Center Main Room
Info: The Freedom Days Fun Run kicks off at 8 a.m. at Johnny Cake Park West, 14225 Johnny Cake Ridge Road.
The event includes a 2-mile and 5-mile run.
People can register 6:30–7:30 a.m. on the day of the event, but they are asked to go online to sign up to save on the registration fee, and no T-shirt will be included as the deadline for that has passed.
Register for $15 per person at https://secure.rec1.com/MN/apple-valley-mn/catalog and search for Freedom Days. The race day fee is $30.
Red, White and Barbecue:
Time: 11 a.m.
Where: American Legion Post 1776, 14521 Granada Drive.
What: Outdoor event includes BBQ specials of 1/2 chicken meal for $14 and St. Louis BBQ ribs for $15. Meals come with sides. Inside the Legion, burgers with chips will be sold. Food will be served until 3 p.m. or until its gone. The bar closes at 8 p.m.
Apple Valley Freedom Days Parade:
Time: 1 p.m.
Where: Pennock Avenue at Fireside Drive (south of County Rd 42) – click here for a map of the parade route
- The parade starts at Fireside Drive and Pennock Avenue
- The parade ends on Hayes Rd next to Apple Valley High School
- Remember – Items may not be placed on City of Apple Valley streets, boulevards, or sidewalks prior to 9 a.m. on July 3, per
