Help plan the future of Freedom Days
The city of Apple Valley invites residents and community members to attend a Freedom Days community interest meeting Tuesday, Nov. 17, at 6 p.m. in the Redwood Room at Redwood Park, 311 150th St. W.
Freedom Days is Apple Valley’s longstanding annual Fourth of July celebration, bringing the community together for festivities, entertainment and patriotic traditions. The celebration features a variety of activities, including a parade, fireworks and other family-friendly events.
Freedom Days is organized by the Freedom Days Committee, a volunteer group of community members who dedicate their time to planning and coordinating the annual celebration. As longtime committee leader Pat Shesso and the current committee members prepare to step down from their roles, the city is seeking new volunteers interested in carrying on this beloved community tradition.
The Nov. 17 meeting will provide an opportunity to learn what goes into organizing Freedom Days, explore ways to get involved and discuss the future of the celebration. No prior event-planning experience is necessary, and anyone interested in supporting this community tradition is encouraged to attend.
The city extends its sincere appreciation to Shesso and the Freedom Days Committee for their many years of dedication, leadership and service in making Freedom Days a cherished Apple Valley tradition.
Refreshments will be provided at the meeting. For more information, visit AppleValleyMN.gov.

Support
The APPLE VALLEY FREEDOM DAYS Committee is a volunteer members, who work very hard to make Fourth of July in Apple Valley a fun filled event! We have gone from a one day to a 4-5 day event.
We are ALWAYS looking for sponsorship to help cover the cost of our events! Most of our events are free or have a minimal fee. The reason? We want our families and visitors to be able to enjoy the events!
We do have two very faithful sponsors… the City of Apple Valley and the Apple Valley American Legion. But, they can’t do it all!
We NEED the business community support to keep this Family Fun filled event to be even better!
